This article applies to Employer-paid Benefits Invoices. If you are a Simply Benefits Member who pays premiums directly, this article will have info for you.

To view current billing, or download a copy of an invoice, follow these steps:

1. First, log into your Admin account on Simply Benefits.

2.  Then, click on the "Invoices" button on your home dashboard.

3. To download a copy of the last month's bill, first click on View History to access a list of invoices, then select the invoice you'd like to download. After the system generates the file for you, click on the "Download" button on the top right of your screen.

4. You will then be prompted to save the file as a PDF. Once saved, you can open and view a more detailed copy of your billing.

Note: You can also view billing by division (and view employee details) by selecting the desired "Division" on the left-hand side of your screen.

Current Allocation vs History:

When you first navigate to the Invoices page, you will have the Current Allocation overview displayed to you. This is not a representation of your last static invoice, but instead displays billing based on changes that have happened since your last invoice

Example

Today is January 18th and you are looking at "Current Allocation". It will display what your bill for January (which will be generated February 1) is currently set to be, based on changes which have happened between January 1st and January 18th.

By clicking View History, you will be able to access invoices which have been billed to you in months past.

Due Date of Premiums

The first monthly premium payment is due on the 10th day of the month in which the participating employer’s plan comes into force. This is the Census invoice.

Subsequent premium payments are due on the 10th day of the following month of each premium period.

Example:
Plan comes into force July 1. Census Billing invoice is due on July 10th. July premiums are due August 10th. August premiums are due September 10th. Etc.

Census Billing

The first Invoice for each group is the “Census invoice". It is based on the data entered into the Census which the Employer and Advisor provided. Subsequent invoices will be different (based on the results of Group enrollment) so the Employer can expect the first invoice to be quite different from the following invoices.
